Four Card Golf is a free browser game for friendly, casual play. By using it, you agree to these terms.

Four Card Golf is operated by HUGO.FM Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 11911713. Registered office: 55 Station Road, Manningtree, Essex, England, CO11 1EB. For support, privacy requests or other enquiries, use the HUGO.FM contact form and mention Four Card Golf.

Using the game

No player account, purchase or download is required. Play responsibly and follow the published rules. This is our house version of a traditional game; rules may differ elsewhere. Scores have no monetary value. Do not use the service for gambling, wagers or financial prizes. Children should ask a parent or guardian for help with questions about these terms.

Fair play and private rooms

Use an appropriate nickname. Do not impersonate others, harass people, submit unlawful material, cheat by accessing hidden game data, overload the service, evade security controls or send abusive automated traffic. Keep room links within your intended group; anyone with a link can ask to join an available seat. We may limit requests, end rooms or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the service.

Leaving and reconnecting

In friends games, a computer covers a disconnected seat after two minutes, or immediately when a player chooses Leave. A returning player can reclaim that seat in the same browser while the room and reconnect cookie remain available. Hosting controls can transfer to a present player. Rooms expire after 48 hours without a saved game update. Device-local solo saves depend on your browser and are not guaranteed backups.

Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service, but updates, network failures or maintenance may interrupt a game or affect stored scores. We may make reasonable changes to improve, secure or discontinue features. We will give notice of material changes where practicable. These terms apply from the date shown above; updated terms will be published here.

Ownership and other websites

Traditional card-game mechanics are not claimed as our invention. Site software, original artwork, branding and text are owned by or licensed to their respective rights holders. You may use the site and download the supplied instructions for personal, non-commercial play. Do not suggest endorsement by HUGO.FM or republish our original assets without permission. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Responsibility

The game is supplied for personal entertainment, not business use. We are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by misuse of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction; this does not remove any consumer right to bring a claim in your local courts.
